The 'file rouge' in the execo works is the questioning of the multiple nature of themes that rule our society: our ecomonical, social and cultural environment; our identity, personal relations and emotions...It is a search to the Ying and Yang of each theme. The questioning raised is depicted by presenting the subject through a metaphore on top of a black & white background. But as each questioning knows a multide of answers this contrast is often to explicit "as there is no black& white only shades of grey".
De ‘file rouge’ in het werk is het in vraag stellen van de multiple eigenheid van thema’s die onze maatschappij beheersen: onze economische, sociale, culturele en mediale leefwereld, onze identiteit, persoonlijke relaties en emoties… Het is een zoektocht naar het Ying & Yang van elk thema. Deze vraagstelling wordt in beeld gebracht door deze thema’s via een metafoor op een zwart/wit achtergrond te plaatsen. Maar daar elke vraagstelling een veelheid aan antwoorden kent is het zwart-witte contrast vaak onterecht hard, “as there is no black and white only shades of grey”.
